Panasonic Lumix S1 Body
As part of Panasonic's entry into full-frame mirrorless, the Lumix DC-S1 is an all-round camera that offers advanced photo and video features, as well as a sturdy physical build. Featuring its full-frame 24.2MP MOS sensor, supported by an updated Venus Engine, the S1 delivers impressive image quality with a 9fps shooting speed and an extended sensitivity range up to ISO 204800. As for video, the S1 can record UHD 4K30p with full-pixel readout, 10-bit 4: 2: 0 color and unlimited shutter speeds, as well as 4K60p up to 29:59. HDR video recording is possible using the dedicated Hybrid Log Gamma mode and a firmware update will be available to add 4: 2: 2 10-bit internal recording along with V-Log. Complementing both photo and video capabilities, the image sensor also uses an advanced DFD contrast detection autofocus system for fast and accurate focus and tracking. Additionally, sensor-shift image stabilization helps minimize the appearance of camera shake by 5.5 stops for sharper handheld shooting.
In addition to imaging attributes, the S1 is also distinguished by its body design, which incorporates a high resolution 5.76m dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.2 "to 2.1 triaxial tilting touchscreen LCD. m. sealed to allow working in harsh conditions and features a top status LCD to review shooting settings on the fly. XQD and SD slots offer flexible storage capabilities, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity allows for remote control of the camera. camera along with wireless image transfer to tablets and smartphones.
24.2MP full frame MOS sensor and Venus engine
Featuring a 24.2MP full-frame MOS sensor, along with an updated Venus Engine, the imaging capabilities of the S1 have been optimized for high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and recording modes flexible. Sensor and processor incorporate Multipixel Luminance Generation and Intelligent Detail Processing technologies, which help produce high resolution and definition by suppressing color moiré, and Color Control further enhances color reproduction, especially in highlights and shadows. The Venus Engine's processing power also helps suppress noise levels in the sensitivity range, from ISO 100-51200, and offers full-resolution continuous shooting speeds of up to 9fps with AF-S or 6fps with AF- C, for over 90 consecutive raw files.
4K UHD HDR video recording
In addition to photo shooting, the S1 is a high-capacity video camera with UHD 4K30p recording with full-pixel readout, 4: 2: 0 10-bit color and unlimited recording time with UHD 4K60p recording up to 29 minutes and 59 seconds . Full HD recording is also supported, up to 60p with unlimited recording times. In addition, the high-speed recording modes for UHD 4K60, with 30fps playback and Full HD at 180fps, with 30fps playback, offer 2x and 6x slower motion, respectively.
To complement the video quality, a High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode, along with a dedicated Photo Style Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) mode, can be used to expand the detail of highlights and shadows and offer greater flexibility when coloring. An optional paid firmware update will be available to further enhance recording capabilities with support for 4: 2: 2 sampling, 10-bit internal color depth recording along with V-Log. Additionally, you can record to an optional external recorder, via the HDMI Type A port, and support for an external microphone and headphones is also available via dedicated 3.5mm jacks.
Body Design
Used in conjunction with other members of the L-Mount Alliance, the L Lens Mount is a versatile interface with a mounting diameter of 51.6mm and a distance of 20mm for working with a wide range of optics.
An impressive Real View Finder is a 5.76m high resolution EVED OLED that offers clear configurable 0.78x viewing magnification, with a variable refresh rate of 60fps or 120fps, 0.005 second delay and 10,000: 1 contrast.
The large 3.2 "2.1m LCD display is a bright and clear medium for live view shooting, as well as for playback and menu navigation. The screen features a triaxial tiltable design to accommodate tall and low angles, even in portrait orientation and its touchscreen design offers intuitive control of settings Live View Boost is a dedicated display mode for working in low light conditions, where viewing sensitivity
