Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Summilux 25-50/ F1.7 -Demo

The new optics is very interesting as it forms a seamless pairing with its brother Leica DG Vario-Summilux 10-25mm / F1.7 ASPH. (H-X1025).

Photographers and videomakers who use Micro Four Thirds bodies now have a focal range ranging from 20 to 100 mm equivalent in 35mm format with fixed f / 1.7 aperture.

In Panasonic plans this allows to cover a wide range of needs with just two zoom lenses, replacing a kit consisting of several fixed lenses.

Panasonic has worked hard to make the optical rendering of the lenses seamless, too, so that they can truly be used as if they were a single superzoom.

In particular, the two optics offer superimposable performance at the 25mm focal length, where their excursion range intersects, in terms of resolution, sharpness, and blur yield.
